Shakti Mahila Sangathan, initiated by Utthan, is a dynamic grassroots federation dedicated to building local leadership and collective strength among marginalized women in Bhavnagar district, Gujarat. Since 2004, the Sangathan has worked to amplify women’s voices, foster solidarity, and unlock pathways to justice and economic independence. By organizing across 46 villages, we’ve created a strong platform where women challenge inequality, influence decision-making, and lead the charge toward more inclusive and resilient communities.
